Biography
Angelica Coppola trained at the University of Naples ‘Federico II’, where in 2023 she obtained her
master degree in modern Philology with a thesis in Dantesque Philology (supervisor Andrea
Mazzucchi, co-rapporteur Fara Autiero) entitled ‘Uno splendor mi squarciò ’l velo. L’illustrazione del
Paradiso nell’antica tradizione manoscritta della Commedia’, and at the same time the Master Arts-
Lettres-Langues, mention Langues, Littératures et Civilisations Etrangères et Régionales (LLCER) –
Études italiennes at the end of a double degree course, co-tutored between the University “Federico
II” of Naples and the Universitée Jean Moulin Lyon 3. She also obtained a master degree in Latin
“Literary Forms between Ancient and Modern” with a paper in medieval and humanistic Latin
literature (tutor Antonietta Iacono) on the didactic work of Giovanni Pontano entitled ‘De Hortis
Hesperidum sive de cultu citrorum: tra reinventio mitopoietica e modello didascalico’. She also
carried out codicographic training periods at the S.I.S.M.E.L. – Società Internazionale per lo Studio
del Medioevo Latino – in collaboration with the Biblioteca Medicea Laurenziana.
