Biography
Gionata Tomasiello holds a BA in Lettere moderne (2021) and an MA in Modern Philology (2023) from Università di Pisa, where he graduated with a bachelor thesis entitled “I volgarizzamenti toscani del Vangelo di Marco: prime indagini sulla tradizione manoscritta (sec. XIII-XV)” (supervisor M. Zaccarello), and a master thesis entitled “La traduzione del libro dei Salmi di Pierre de Paris (Paris, BnF, fr. 1761)” (supervisor F. Cigni, first co-supervisor L. Leonardi, second co-supervisor S. Cerullo). He also holds an MA in Modern Literature, Philology, and Linguistics (2024) from Scuola Normale Superiore, where he was a student of the “Corso Ordinario” for five years. His research interests are Bible translations into French and Italian in the 13th-15th century, Outremer literature, and Medieval Italian poetry.
