The aim of the project is the study of the tradition of the Secretum secretorum in Catalan and the creation of a digital critical edition. The complete collation of the witnesses will be followed by the reconstruction of a stemma codicum if more than one witness is found to be the bearer of the same translation. For each Catalan version of the work, a critical text will be established which will be marked up according to the XML-TEI encoding in order to be published digitally. The edition will be accompanied by a linguistic study that will analyse the spelling, phonetics, morphology, syntax and vocabulary of each version. A digital thematic glossary will also be compiled which will associate each form with the corresponding Latin lemma, the appropriate lexicographical references and a brief commentary.
