Biography

Born in Rome on 07/07/2000, Serena Malerba studied at the University of La Sapienza in Rome. She obtained her master’s degree with a thesis in Occitan philology entitled The trobadour Guillem Magret: essay of critical edition of a part of the corpus (supervisor Professor Stefano Asperti and co-supervisor Professor Maria Teresa Rachetta) in which she offered the critical and annotated edition of some texts of the trobadour. She has been part of the Scuola Superiore Studi Avanzati Sapienza, where she obtained the bachelor diploma with a research on the Occitan chansonnier signed ‘r’ (Florence, Riccardiana Library, n° 294): The Provencal fragment r, essay of a graphic-linguistic exam. She spent her final year of Master (2023-24) at UZH, where she enrich her education with courses and participation in projects directed by professor Richard Trachsler (Rencontres doctorales de Littérature Française Universität Zürich-University of Oxford; colloques doctorales) and Martin Glessgen (digitisation of the lexicographic data of DAG in GallRom).
