Biography

Vilfredo Rabino obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities (2023) from the University of Pisa, with a thesis in Romance Philology entitled Gautier de Coinci’s “Miracles de Nostre Dame”: Study and Critical Edition of Miracles I 14 and I 16 (supervisor: Fabrizio Cigni; co-supervisor: Lino Leonardi). At the same university, he earned a Master’s Degree in Italian Studies (2025) with a thesis in Romance Philology entitled The Lyrics of Joan Berenguer de Masdovelles between Provençal and Catalan: Linguistic Analysis and a New Editorial Proposal (supervisor: Fabrizio Cigni; co-supervisors: Lino Leonardi and Speranza Cerullo). Alongside his university studies, he attended the Corso Ordinario at the Scuola Normale Superiore (2020–2025), where he obtained a second-level Master’s Degree in Modern Literature and Philology, Linguistics. He spent a research period at the École nationale des chartes in Paris (March–May 2025), where he also took part in a workshop on digital philology (November 2023). In addition, he completed a training course in lexicography at the Istituto Opera del Vocabolario Italiano (September 2024).
